Father's Day

We love our Dad!
We were able to have a yummy Father's Day breakfast of a frittata with Ham and Cheese, some toast and orange juice. Then we all packed into the car so I could go to Ward Council, and Ryan got to watch the kids for an hour at the church while they waited for me. What a good dad. We had given Ryan his presents earlier, some large framed posters for his office, one of the Tetons, and the other Luke picked out of a lightning strike. But Ryan got another present during Sacrament Meeting. Luke sang a song, "My Daddy Reminds Me," by Janice Kapp Perry. He was singing with 2 other boys from the Ward. I was accompanying them, so I asked Luke to sing loud enough so I would be able to hear him. It broke my heart that I couldn't be there watching him. This was his first time to sing like this in front of a crowd of people. Of course he's sung with all the Primary children, but this was scary. I asked the other 2 boys to sing with him, because he was scared to sing by himself.
Well, the other boy's dad, positioned the boys in front of the microphone, he put Luke in the middle, not what we mom's had planned, but when you're behind the piano you take what people can do for you. From the first note of the song, Luke came through loud and clear. He sang loud, on pitch, and with full confidence (and right in front of the microphone, it kind of overpowered the other boys quieter voices). He did such an amazing job. Ryan said that having Luke sing that song just warmed his heart and made him so happy. I wanted to cry while playing the piano, but had to keep it together so I could see the notes. Way to go Luke, you did great!
